Simon A. Pelsmakher, B.A. (Hons.), J.D.
Simon is a Junior Associate Lawyer at Lecker & Associates. His practice centres on matters pertaining to wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal, discrimination in the workplace, contractual disputes, and disability-insurance litigation matters. He completed his articles, also at Lecker & Associates, where he developed his passion and advocacy skills for employee rights.
Simon completed his legal studies in the Canadian American Dual JD Program at the University of Windsor and University of Detroit Mercy, and his undergraduate studies at the University of Western Ontario, focusing on Political Science.
During his law school tenure, Simon was the recipient of several awards for his academics and moot court performance. In addition, he was an active member of the student-body, interning at the Veterans Law Clinic in Detroit where he zealously fought for the rights and entitlements of disabled and wounded veterans. He was also a member of the executive team of Windsor Law’s Law Review Program, and was published in the Canada-United States Law Journal (vol 41, 2017) for his research in Constitutional Law.
Simon is conversationally fluent in Russian and in his free time, enjoys spending time with his family, reading a range of non-fiction literature, and honing his skills on the piano and alto saxophone.
